The Sydney Mornig Herald called it a "poorly conceived play".[2] The Daily Mirror said star Gwen Plumn was "oustanding".[3]
The Wireless Weekly said "Gwen Meredith has won a certain amount of success in the writing of trivial comedy. The poor quality of this, her first serious play, indicates she should return to her former medium. The play does not merit critical examination."[4]

A father discovers his daughter's sweetheart is her brother.
