Shyamambaram

Shyamambaram is a 2023 Malayalam Language television Soap Opera that premiered on 6 February 2023 and airs on Malayalam entertainment channel Zee Keralam. It is also available on the digital platform ZEE5. It is produced by Remadevi of Green TV and stars Haritha G Nair in the titular role.[1][2] It is currently the highest TRP rated series in the channel.[3] The series is an official remake of Zee Bangla's drama Krishnakoli.

Plot

The story revolves around Shyama, a dark-skinned girl, who sets out to remove stigma attached to colour. She marries Akhil and faces discrimination due to her complexion. A talented singer, she sets out on a journey to create an identity for herself. Shyama believes that her complexion is akin to that of Lord Krishna's. Her life changes after marriage when she goes on to make a career in music. Shyama's mother-in-law dislikes her.[4][5]

This is a spin off to mizhirandilum and Shyamambaram where Sachi and family from Mizhirandilum and Archana and family from Shyamambaram plays the central characters.[7] It depicts the married life of Sachi and Archana.
