Sihame Assbague

Sihame Assbague is a French journalist and anti-racism activist. She was spokeswoman for the Collective Against Racial Profiling.[1]

Life

She graduated with degrees in modern letters and political science. She was a political adviser for the 14th arrondissement of Paris.[2]

In 2012, she became spokesperson for the collective against racial profiling. She became a French teacher in a high school, in Épinay-sur-Seine.[3] She traveled to Europe and the United States, and then became involved in activism.[4] With Widad Ketfi, she reported on racism, on youtube and twitter.[5] She documented police violence and racist incidents.[6][7][8][9][10]

In 2014, in the wake of the Killing of Michael Brown, she confronted Alain Juppe, about the death of Zyed Benna and Bouna Traoré.[2] In 2015, she was on the editorial board of Counter-attack, an internet platform founded by Alain Gresh.[11]

She co-founded the Studio Praxis consulting firm, with Nabil Berbour, Tara Dickman, and Ladji Real.[12]
