Sokolowski's University Inn
Sokolowski's University Inn was a restaurant in Cleveland, Ohio.[1][2] It was recognized as one of America's Classics by the James Beard Foundation.[3][4]

History
The restaurant was founded in 1923 in Cleveland's Tremont neighborhood.[3] As of 2016 it was the oldest family-run restaurant in the city.[3] It was operated in a modified cafeteria style serving Polish and Eastern European specialities such as pierogis, chicken paprikash, and stuffed cabbage.[3][1] It closed in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.[1] In 2023 the building was sold to developer Redbird Tremont.[5]
Recognition
In 2014 it was named one of America's Classics by the James Beard Foundation.[1]
