St. Andrew's Church, Darjeeling

St. Andrew's Church is the oldest church of Darjeeling, West Bengal, India.[1] This is a heritage Anglican church established in November 1843[2] under the supervision of Captain Bishop.[3] After the heavy damage sustained by devastating lightning strike in 1867, it was rebuilt in 1873. The group of people assembled for religious worship at St. Andrew's were the Scottish soldiers and tea planters resided in Darjeeling town.[4] The clock tower of the St. Andrew's Church was built in 1883.[5]
