Stenorrhipis

Stenorrhipis is a genus of liverwort in the family Cephaloziellaceae.

The genus is found in central and southern America and Madagascar.[1]

The genus was published by Theodor Carl Julius Herzog in Trans. Brit. Bryol. Soc. 1: 291 in 1950.[2]

Species

As accepted by GBIF and World Flora Online:[1][2]

  • Stenorrhipis grollei Gradst.
  • Stenorrhipis madagascariensis (Stephani) Grolle

The taxonomic placement of this genus was uncertain, it has been previously placed in the Lophoziaceae by Schuster or in the Jungermanniaceae. It was then placed in the family Cephaloziellaceae.
