Stockade (play)
Stockade is a 1942 radio play by Richard Lane who regarded it as one of his most significant works. It is a verse drama about the Eureka Rebellion. It tells the story though Bridget Shannahan who was on Bakery during the Stockade period. She was a real person, grandmother to Lane's then-wife.[1][2]

It aired in 1942. Wireless Weekly called it "an artistic success".[3] Other views were also positive.[4]
The play was produced again in 1943,[5] 1947[6][7] and in 1950.[8]
