Sule Abdulaziz

Sule Ahmed Abdulaziz is a Nigerian engineer and the current managing director and chief executive officer of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN).[1][2][3][4]

Education

Engr. Abdulaziz holds a BSc in Electrical and an MSc in Automation Engineering from The Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Council for the Regulations of Engineering (COREN), and a Chartered Member of the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM).[5][6]

Career

Abdulaziz joined the defunct National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) in 1996 as Manager, Electrical. He was later appointed general manager (projects) at the corporate headquarters and Regional Transmission Manager of Shiroro and Abuja Regions of TCN.[7]

In his role as the acting managing director of TCN, which he assumed on 19 May 2020, he was responsible for overseeing the transmission network operations and maintenance, system operations, and market administration.[8]

On the 4 April 2022, Abdulaziz was confirmed as the substantive managing director and chief executive officer of TCN by the National Assembly of Nigeria.[9]

In addition to his role as MD/CEO, has held the positions of general manager (projects) and regional transmission manager.[10][9]
