The clumped shrub typically grows to a height of 0.2 to 0.5 metres (1 to 2 ft).

It is found on undulating terrain in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia between Brookton and Wandering where it grows in sandy-loamy soils over laterite or granite.[1]
