Tanveer Islam
Dr Tanveer-ul-Islam is an Pakistani politician and businessman from Sialkot, who was an Member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab and also served as the Provincial Minister for Sports, Youth Affairs and Culture from 9 June 2008 to 1 March 2011.[1]

Political career
He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as the candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians from constituency PP-126, he received 30,092 votes and defeated Pakistan Muslim League (Q) candidate Syed Akhtar Hussain Rizvi.[2]
He ran for the seat of Provincial Assembly of the Punjab as a candidate of Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians from constituency PP-126, but was unsuccessful, he received 11,380 votes and lost the seat to Rana Liaqat Ali.[3]
In June 2018, he left Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians and announced to join Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.[4]
He is the candidate of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, from constituency PP-40 Sialkot-VI in the next 2024 Punjab provincial election.[5]
