Teya Dora

Teodora Pavlovska (Serbian Cyrillic: Теодора Павловска, born 1992), known professionally as Teya Dora (Serbian Cyrillic: Теја Дора), is a Serbian singer and songwriter.[1] Teya Dora is known for her single "Džanum" which quickly became popular in the social media platform TikTok and various musical platforms.

Life and career

Teodora Pavlovska was born in 1992 in Bor, Serbia. As a child, she moved to Belgrade where she also currently lives. She attended Berklee College of Music in Boston where she studied music.[2]

She started her engagement on the Serbian music scene as a songwriter and composer. Teya collaborated with known Serbian artists such as Nikolija, in which she composed the title track for Nikolija's album "Yin & Yang", and Teodora.[3] She has also co-written songs with Nataša Bekvalac.

As a music artist, she published her first song Da na meni je in July 2019, which she also wrote herself at the end of 2018. The single became a hit which quickly made her name known in the Serbian music industry. Teya Dora is also known for her collaboration with the Serbian movie series South Winds (Serbian: Juzni Vetar) in which she wrote multiple singles for their soundtrack between 2020 and 2023.[4][5] In 2023, she released the single "Džanum" which quickly became popular in the social media platform TikTok after Belgrade school shooting. The same single also reached 6th place at the Billboard's Croatia Songs chart.[6] The single reached the 4th place at the Daily Viral Songs Global chart on Spotify at its peak.[7][8][9][10]
