History

Trầm Hương Tower is an artistic work called "Sea Flower" created by Khanh Hoa People's Committee to be an architectural highlight for Nha Trang. To build the project, Khanh Hoa province invested state capital to relocate the hero memorial and build the project. However, it was not completed because of violations during the construction process, causing frustration among people. Realizing that the unfinished construction project was negatively impacting the local area, Khánh Hòa People's Committee transferred the project back to [[Tourism & Tourism Joint Stock Company] Vinpearl Commerce]] invested to renovate Tram Huong Tower. The total cost for this project is 18.7 billion VND with 6 billion VND from the provincial budget that the province previously invested. Architecturally, it was designed by architect Le Thanh Tung and Beautiful Architecture Consulting Co., Ltd. - Nha Trang.[1] Initially, Tram Huong Tower had only 3 structural floors, but after renovation, it had 6 floors. After construction was completed, Trầm Hương Tower was handed over to Khánh Hòa Tourism Company to manage and it was put into operation on December 22, 2008.[2] Because the project was quite degraded, on October 13, 2021, Khanh Hoa Province proposed a renovation plan, repairing Tram Huong Tower because it is currently quite degraded. If there is any renovation, the repair and renovation is due to be undertaken by Khanh Hoa Bird's Nest Company. In difficult cases, it is possible to request coordination with Khanh Hoa Agarwood Company.[3] In addition to renovation and repair, the units also intend to organize commercial service plans including Selling typical products and specialities of Khanh Hoa at Tram Huong Tower. They also submitted two plans to Khanh Hoa People's Committee for the People's Committee to consider. The first option is to still let Tram Huong Tower be a place of spiritual culture that reasonably combines with business, the second is to just let Tram Huong Tower be a spiritual-cultural tourist destination.[4]
