Early life

From Manor, Texas, Guyton attended Manor High School and played football and basketball.[1] He played mainly as a defensive lineman for Manor and helped them reach the state quarterfinals while being a second-team All-District 11-5A selection. Ranked by 247Sports as a three-star recruit and the 145th-best player from Texas, Guyton ultimately committed to play college football for the TCU Horned Frogs.[2]

College career

As a true freshman at TCU in 2020, Guyton redshirted, seeing action in only one game.[3] In 2021, he appeared in eight games, one as a starter, while splitting time between being a backup offensive lineman and H-back.[4][5] He caught a touchdown pass in a game against Iowa State.[6][7] After the season, Guyton announced his intention to transfer, ultimately transferring to play for the Oklahoma Sooners.[8]

In his first season for the Sooners, Guyton appeared in 10 games, five as a starter, beginning the season as a left tackle while being the starting right tackle by the end of it.[9] He appeared on a total of 400 snaps and allowed only two sacks and no quarterback hits.[10] With Wanya Morris and Anton Harrison leaving for the National Football League Draft in 2023, Guyton was placed in a starting role at right tackle to begin the 2023 season.[10][11][12]

Guyton has been projected as a potential first-round pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.[13]
