Mekapati Chandra Sekhar Reddy of Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party is currently representing the constituency in Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly. This constituency was also represented by the incumbent Vice President of India, Venkaiah Naidu from 1978 to 1988.
