Venüzo Dawhuo

Venüzo Timothy Dawhuo (born 1997) is an Indian wrestler from Nagaland. Dawhuo is a two-time titleholder of the Naga Wrestling Championship.[1][2]

Early life

Venüzo Timothy Dawhuo was born in 1997 to a Chakhesang Naga family from Thenyizu.[3] He attended Government Middle School in Thenyizu and Government High School in Chetheba. Dawhuo first joined Naga wrestling in 2014, at the age of 17.

Career

Naga Wrestling Championship

Dawhuo in 2020, emerged as the winner of the 27th Naga Wrestling Championship by defeating Kezhaseluo Pienyü of Kohima Village.[4]

In 2022, Dawhuo retained the title of the 28th Naga Wrestling Championship. He emerged as the winner by defeating Mhasilhousie Nagi from Jotsoma.[5]

Naga Open Wrestling Championship

In 2021, Dawhuo defeated Dzieselatuo Keretsü of Kohima Village at the 13th Naga Open Wrestling Championship.[6]
