Villuri Venkataramana

Villuri Venkataramana (15 May 1923 – 1978) was an Indian politician. He was a Member of Parliament representing Andhra Pradesh in the Rajya Sabha the upper house of India's Parliament as member of the Indian National Congress.[1][2][3] Venkataramana died in 1978.[4]

Political career

He was Elected to The Rajya Sabha at the age of 31 years.He was elected to the Rajya Sabha for two terms for his service.He had an experience on working under Political Stalwarts Like Jawaharlal Nehru,Babu Jagjeevan Ram,Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan,Lal bahadur Sastri.He is dear disciple of N.G. Ranga and Gouthu Latchanna.He Mocks congress by showing Government Failure.He used to Spend Money for the Farmers also.He represented from Swatantra party and Krishikar Lok Party.Till End,he worked for his ideologies.[5]He Contested as M.P for 3 times from Anakaplle in1962,1967,1971 and he lost to Missula SuryaNarayana Murti by 16,010 Votes and again to same person by 3024 Votes and later to SRAS Appala Naidu By 146,094 votes[6].Congress Offered Central Minister posts still he worked for his ideologies and remained in Krishikar Lok Party.[7]

For the First Time in India,He Travelled to Delhi With Farmers.He made the President to speak with the Farmers.[8]

VV ramana Rythu Sangam

When Thummapala Sugars are going to be Auctioned.He Collected the Money From the Farmers and Purchased the sugar factory at a cost of 27 lakhs rupees and made it a co-operative society

Later it was Named to VV ramana co-operative sugars by giving Tribute to Villuri Venkata Ramana, by Y.S Rajasekhara reddy.In the Anakapalle town,Farmers gave tribute to VV ramana by adding his name to Gowri Pradamika Seva Sangam and Anakapalle Rythu Sangams.

Festival

A temple is constructed in Gavarapalem area of Anakapalle and Every year They do Festival in January on his Memory.[9]
