Vorobeichik, Vorobeytschik, Barabeitchik and other variants derived from Russian: Воробейчик is a Jewish family name. Literally it means "little sparrow", however it is not a standard diminutive, which would be "vorobyshek"/"vorobushek". A similarly constructed surname is Soloveichik ("little nightingale").
