Wasil Doolwal
Wasil Doolwal (12 February 1987 – 17 October 2023) was an Indian Kashmiri political activist hailing from Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. He was known for his active involvement with the People's Democratic Party (PDP).[1][2]

Early life
Wasil Doolwal was born on 12 February 1987 in Kishtwar, Jammu and Kashmir. He spent his early years in the region, which had a significant impact on his commitment to social and political causes.[1][3][4]
Political career
Doolwal's political career was primarily associated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP).[2] He was a dedicated activist[5] who focused on issues related to youth and the underprivileged in the Chenab region.[1][6]
In 2018, Doolwal joined 200 youth Congress activists to Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party.[7]
In 2019, Doolwal along with Firdous Tak was booked by police for seeking rollback of plans to arm civilians especially Village Defence Guards.[8][9]
In 2020, Doolwal along with the Khem Raj of Atholi-Padder was booked by police for allegedly posting "sensitive remarks" on social media which had potential to disturb peace and order in Kishtwar district.[10][11]
In 2021, Doolwal was appointed District President for youth wing by Jammu and Kashmir People's Democratic Party.[12]

Doolwal was born in 1987 in Kishtwar. In 2021, Doolwal married.[1]
Wasil Doolwal died on 17 October 2023, at the age of 36.[1] Former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Mehbooba Mufti offered condolences.[13]
Legacy
Doolwal was recognized for his unwavering commitment to guiding and positively influencing the youth of Kishtwar.[6][14] His efforts in advocating for the rights of the underprivileged and marginalized communities left an indelible mark on the region.[3] He was often described as a dynamic figure who was passionate about the betterment of society.[1][4]
