William Couldwell

William T. Couldwell M.D., Ph.D. , a neurosurgeon, was born in British Columbia, Canada. He is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Utah,[1] a position he assumed in 2001.

Career

Couldwell is currently (or has served) on the Editorial Boards of several journals (including the Journal of Neurosurgery, Chairman 2007-2008). He has served as on the Board of Directors of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS), and is a Former Director of the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS).[2]

He was President of the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) (2013-2014),[3] and was President of the American Academy of Neurological Surgery (AAcNS; 2016-2017).[4]

He is currently President-Elect of the World Academy of Neurological Surgery.[5]

Publications

He has published over 400 peer-reviewed manuscripts, 100 book chapters and seven books.
