William E. Jones (filmmaker)

William E. Jones (born 1962) is an American experimental filmmaker, video artist[1] and writer[2][3] based on Los Angeles[4] known for his work on found footage.[5]

Early life

Raised by "sports-crazed" Christian fundamentalists in Massillon, Ohio,[6][5] William was told at a young age not to listen to rock music and grow long hair because they were "sinful". He was a graduate of Yale University and University of Southern California.[7]
