William Murphy (activist)

William Murphy (1834–1872) was an Irish anti-Catholic activist and public lecturer.[1] Murphy was born at Castletown-Conyers, County Limerick, on 1 August 1834; and was killed at Whitehaven, in 1872, by a group of angry Irish miners.[1]
