Yushi Yamaya

Yushi Yamaya (山谷 侑士, Yamaya Yūshi, born 11 June 2000) is a Japanese footballer who plays for Singapore Premier League club, Geylang International. His regular playing position is a forward or a winger.[1][2][3]

Club career

Yokohama F. Marinos

Yamaya signed for Yokohama F. Marinos ahead of the 2019 J1 League season. He made his first appearance for the Tricolore in a J.League Cup match against local rivals Shonan Bellmare on 13 March 2019. He started the match and was then substituted by Noah Kenshin Browne in the 82nd minute of a 2–0 defeat. A month later, Yamaya played the full 90 minutes and scored the opening goal in a 2–2 draw at home to V-Varen Nagasaki. He was also on the scoresheet in his third appearance of the campaign, a 4–0 rout of Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on 8 May 2019.

Yamaya first J.League appearance came as an 86th minute substitute for the Brazilian, Marcos Júnior in a 3–0 win away to Urawa Red Diamonds on 5 April 2019.[2][3] Yamaha won the 2019 J1 League with the club at the end of the season.

Loan to Mito HollyHock

In February 2020, Yamaya was loaned out to J2 League club, Mito HollyHock ahead of the 2020 season. On 19 July, he scored his first goal for the club in a league match against Machida Zelvia.

Loan to Kagoshima United

In February 2021, Yamaya was loaned to J3 League side, Kagoshima United.

Loan to Yokohama FC

In February 2022, Yamaya was loaned to local club, Yokohama FC.

Geylang International

On 12 January 2023, it was announced that Singapore Premier League club, Geylang International had completed the signing of Yamaya.[4]
