Allen Holubar

Allen Holubar (3 de agosto de 1888 – 20 de noviembre de 1923) fue un actor, director y guionista cinematográfico de nacionalidad estadounidense, activo en la época del cine mudo. Actuó en un total de 38 filmes rodados entre 1913 y 1917, y dirigió 33 entre los años 1916 y 1923.

Biografía

Nacido en San Francisco, California, su nombre completo era Allen Joseph Holubar. Comenzó a actuar en el cine en 1913 con A Wolf Among Lambs, un cortometraje producido por Essanay Studios, compañía para la cual rodó sus primeras películas.

En el film The Prophecy (1913) actuó con la actriz Dorothy Phillips, con la cual se había casado en 1912. La pareja permaneció unida hasta la muerte de él, ocurrida en Los Ángeles, California, en 1923 a causa de una neumonía. Tenía 35 años de edad. Fue enterrado en el Cementerio Hollywood Forever, en Hollywood.
