Clifford Irving (écrivain)

Clifford Michael Irving, né le à New York et mort le à Sarasota en Floride, est un journaliste d’investigation et écrivain américain.

Biographie

Clifford Irving est surtout connu pour avoir réalisé une fausse autobiographie, non traduite en français, d’Howard Hughes[1]. Le récit de cette supercherie est narré dans le film Faussaire, mais il y est aussi fait allusion dans le film F. For Fake (1974) d'Orson Welles dans lequel joue Clifford Irving.

Mort

Clifford Irving est mort d'un cancer du pancréas le dans une maison de soins palliatifs près de sa résidence à Sarasota en Floride[2].
