Moha Ennaji

Moha Ennaji est né à Azilal, dans le Moyen Atlas, le 1^er janvier 1953. Il se trouve à un carrefour entre la culture berbère musulmane traditionnelle et la culture occidentale. Il fait ses études primaires à l’école de Timoulilt entre 1962 et 1965.

Il a effectué ses études secondaires au Lycée Ibn Sina à Béni-Mellal, et obtenu son Baccalauréat en lettres Modernes en 1971 avec les honneurs.

En 1972, il rejoint le département d'anglais de la Faculté des Lettres l'Université Mohammed V à Rabat.

Il obtient la Licence en anglais en 1976, puis fait l'École Normale Supérieure de Rabat pour devenir professeur d’anglais au lycée à Casablanca.

En 1979, il s'est marié avec Fatima Sadiqi, également professeur d'anglais originaire de la région d'Azilal.

Ensemble, ils ont quitté le Maroc pour le Royaume-Uni afin de poursuivre leurs études jusqu'à l'obtention d'un diplôme de maîtrise en linguistique théorique et ensuite un doctorat en linguistique générale à l'Université d'Essex.

En 1983, ils rejoignent l’Université Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah au Maroc, en tant que maîtres de conférences en linguistique.

En 1986, ils deviennent professeurs associés et en 2000 ils sont promus au grade de professeur de l’enseignement supérieur titulaire.

En 2006, Moha Ennaji a été nommé directeur des études arabes à l'Université Rutgers États-Unis, poste qu'il a conserve jusqu'en 2009.

En 2010, il est devenu président de l'Institut international des langues et cultures à Fès ( INLAC ), qu'il a co-fondé avec son épouse Fatima Sadiqi.
