- Iridaea belangeri Bory de Saint-Vincent, 1834
  - Type locality: False Bay, Cape of Good Hope, South Africa.
  - Lectotype: PC (Bornet & Thuret Herbarium) TA14583 (specimen on the right, female gametophyte) (De Clerck et al. 2005: 172).
  - Named for Charles Paulus Bélanger (1805–1881), French botanist and explorer.
