Typus: W. Roxburgh s.n. (Herb. Smith 316/5, LINN -HS 316.5.^(mirror)) fide Ridsdale (1978: 361), Löfstrand & al. (2014).
Type locality: [India. Andhra Pradesh?]: Coromandel, a native of the mountainous parts of this coast.
