Hugo de Souza Lopes (January 5, 1909 – May 10, 1991), Brazilian entomologist and malacologist specialized in Sarcophagidae (Diptera). He worked as a professor and head of the Department of General Biology at Universidade Santa Úrsula in Rio de Janeiro. In 1952 de Souza Lopes became a member of the Brazilian Academy of Sciences, which honoured him with the Costa Lima Award.
