From Proto-Albanian *anTā, from Proto-Indo-European *h₂(o)nh₁- (breath). Close to Hittite [Term?] (/anza/, desire), Ancient Greek (Hes.) ἀντάς πνοάς (antás pnoás) and Old Norse andi (spirit, soul)[1]. Possibly related to ndiej.
