Etymology
Non-Sino-Vietnamese reading of Chinese 釘耙 (“spiky rake”; SV: đinh bá), with Chinese 耙 (bá, “rake”) "eggcornized" by ba (“three”). Some Western rake-like cultivators do indeed have only three prongs.
