аша

An adverbial form, derived from the verb аш- (aš-, “to pass through, cross”), from Proto-Turkic *(i)āĺ- (“to cross; surpass”).

аша • (aša) (takes nouns in absolute case, pronouns in genitive)

1. (spacial) across, on the opposite site

   Урам аша торған күрше.

   Uram aša torğan kürše.

   The neighbor living across the street.

   Йылға аша күпер һалына.

   Yïlğa aša küper halïna.

   A bridge across the river is being built.

2. (motion) through, via

   Ниндәйҙер ауыл аша үтеп бара инек.

   Nindäyðer awïl aša ütep bara inek.

   We were passing through some village.

3. through, by means of

   Районда булған бар хәбәрҙәрҙе һеҙҙең гәзит аша беләм.

   Rayonda bulğan bar xäbärðärðe heððeñ gäzit aša beläm.

   Through your newspaper, I know about all the news in the district.

   Кеше фекеренә ҡолаҡ һалыу — үҙеңде көҙгө аша күреүгә тиң.

   Keše fekerenä qolaq halïw — üðeñde köðgö aša kürewgä tiñ.

   Listening to somebody else's opinion is equal to looking at yourself through a mirror.

   Рус шиғриәтендә ритмика баҫымлы һәм баҫымһыҙ ижектәрҙең теүәл тәртиптә ҡабатланып килеүе аша ла булдырыла.

   Rus šiğriätendä ritmika baθïmlï häm baθïmhïð ižektärðeñ tewäl tärtiptä qabatlanïp kilewe aša la buldïrïla.

   In Russian poetry, the rhythmics is also created by stressed and unstressed syllables repeating in a set order.
