From локша́ (lokšá), dialectal form of лапша́ (lapšá, “noodles”). Compare the expression ве́шать лапшу́ на́ уши (véšatʹ lapšú ná uši, “to tell falsehoods”), literally “to hang noodles upon one’s ears”.
