Via Volga Turki اوجماخ (ujmax, “paradise”), via Chagatai, from Old Uyghur [script needed] (uǯmaq) / [script needed] (uštmaḥ, “paradise”), from Sogdian [script needed] (ʼwštmʼχ, “paradise”)[1].
Cognate with Kazakh ұжмақ (ujmaq), Kyrgyz ужмак (ucmak), учмак (uçmak), Uzbek uchmoh (“paradise”).
