Prefix

չ- • (čʿ-)

  1. a negative particle appended to the verb to form the negative conjugation of all moods, except the imperative mood
    ‎չ- (čʿ-) + ‎սիրել (sirel, “to like”) → ‎չսիրել (čʿsirel, “not to like”)
    ‎չ- (čʿ-) + ‎գրեցի (grecʿi, “I wrote”) → ‎չսիրել (čʿsirel, “'I did not write”)
  2. A negative prefix, appended to some verb roots
    ‎չ- (čʿ-) + ‎բերել (berel, “to bring”) → ‎չբեր (čʿber, “non-bringing, barren”)

Usage notes

As a negative prefix (sense 2) this is not productive anymore.
