From տղա (tła) + աման (aman), literally "boy receptacle". Typologically compare Middle Persian [Book Pahlavi needed] (pwsdʾn' /pusyān/), Persian زهدان‎ (zehdân, uterus), Northern Kurdish p’izdan (placenta).[1]
