The larger region may be specified as اَلْمَغْرِب اَلْأَكْبَر (al-maḡrib al-ʾakbar), or اَلْمَغْرِب اَلْعَرَبِيّ (al-maḡrib al-ʿarabiyy) or اَلْمَغْرِب اَلْإسْلامِيّ (al-maḡrib al-ʾislāmiyy). The core of this region is Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia, but unlike English Maghreb it may include all Arabic-speaking countries in Africa.
