اورنك
Ottoman Turkish
Etymology
Borrowed from Middle Armenian օրինակ (ōrinak), from Old Armenian օրինակ (ōrinak, “example”).[1][2][3] A native Turkic origin from گورمك (görmek, “to see”) has also been suggested,[4] but such a formation is unusual in Turkic, and the drop of g- would remain unexplained.[2][5]
