فطرة
See also: قطرة
Arabic
Etymology 1
Borrowed from Ge'ez ፍጥረት (fəṭrät, “creation; nature, disposition”) together with فَطَرَ (faṭara, “to create”) from ፈጠረ (fäṭärä, “to create; to inscribe, to carve”), unless – which cannot be excluded –, independently shaped from the borrowed verb, which is however unlikely considering the semantic and morphic parallelism.
Noun
فِطْرَة • (fiṭra) f (plural فِطَر (fiṭar))
