from Old Anatolian Turkish [script needed] (külbe, “hut”), from Persian کلبه (kulba, “cell, cabin, store”), from Ancient Greek καλύβη (kalúbē, “hut”) derived from καλύπτω (kalúptō, “to cover, hide”).
