هاوية

هَاوِيَة • (hāwiya) f

1. feminine singular of هَاوِي‎ (hāwī, “amateur, hobbyist”)

   • The Quran, Al-Qāri'ah 101:8-11

     ‏وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ ، فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ ، وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ ،نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ‎

     waʾammā man ḵaffat mawāzīnuhu , faʾummuhu hāwiyatun , wamā ʾadrāka mā hiyah ,nārun ḥāmiyatun

     But as for one whose scales are light, his refuge will be an abyss. And what can make you know what that is? It is a Fire, intensely hot.
