घट्ट
Sanskrit
Etymology
Nominal derivation from the root घट्ट् (ghaṭṭ, “to rub, touch, shake”). The definitions are semantically related to the root in the sense that they connote places where the ground provides enough friction to stand in an otherwise wet and slippery location.
