Etymology
From Proto-Indo-Aryan *HbʰrúHs, from Proto-Indo-Iranian *HbʰrúHs, from Proto-Indo-European *h₃bʰrúHs. Cognate with Persian ابرو (abru), Ancient Greek ὀφρύς (ophrús), Tocharian B pärwāne, Old English brū (whence English brow).
