Etymology
From ยา (yaa, “drug”) + บ้า (bâa, “crazy; mad; insane; wild”). First used in 1996. Coined by the then minister of public health Sanoh Thienthong. Formerly known as ยาม้า (yaa-máa) and ยาขยัน.
