Etymology

From Old Georgian ლარნაკი (larnaḳi, cinerary urn, larnax), which as shown by Ilia Abuladze (apud Ačaṙean) is borrowed from Ancient Greek λάρναξ (lárnax), together with Old Armenian *լառնակ (*laṙnak), լեառնակ (leaṙnak).
