Etymology
From the stem element -աց (-acʿ) + -ու (-u), later spread to words without the -աց (-acʿ) stem. Compare աչաց (ačʿacʿ, “genitive-dative of աչք (ačʿkʿ)”) and աչացու (ačʿacʿu), կենդանաց- (kendanacʿ-, “the aorist stem of կենդանանամ (kendananam)”) and կենդանացու (kendanacʿu).
