Old Armenian
Etymology
From -ով (-ov), which coincides with the ending of instrumental, + -ին (-in) suffix. Alternatively, -ին (-in) may reflect the -i- in Proto-Indo-European *-bʰi followed by a demonstrative element from Proto-Indo-European *-no- > -ն (-n). Compare -եւին (-ewin).
