Amazon lily (plural Amazon lilies)

  1. A bulbous plant, Eucharis amazonica, of the family Amaryllidaceae, having tight, compact rosettes of glossy green leaves and tall spikes of white, fragrant flowers.
  2. A giant water lily, Victoria amazonica, with circular leaves of up to 8 feet in diameter having large white female flowers that bloom at night, and change to pink male ones the next night.
