Molotovin leipäkori
Finnish
Etymology
Molotovin (“Molotov's”) leipäkori (“breadbasket”); thus named because the Soviet foreign minister Vyacheslav Molotov claimed that the Soviet Union merely dropped food for starving Finns when accused of fire-bombing the civilians during the Fenno-Soviet Winter War in 1939 -1940.
Noun
- Molotov bread basket (nickname of RRAB-3, a Soviet-made droppable bomb dispenser that was designed to scatter 100 or more incendiary bombs around)
