Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Oblast
- Autonomous oblast of the Soviet Union created in the Azerbaijan SSR in 1923 and lasting until 1991. Populated overwhelmingly by Armenians it broke away from Azerbaijan and after a bloody full-scale war gained de facto independence as the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.
