back row (plural back rows)

1. The last row of seats in a theater or any group of seats.
2. A row near the back of the theater or group of seats.
3. (rugby) The row of players in a scrum, consisting of two flankers and a number eight.

The back row of a cinema is associated with amourous behavior by couples. The back row of a classroom is associated with delinquent behavior by students wishing to avoid the teacher's attention.
